the USA At Last hot rod from "Mr Hobbs Takes a Vacation"

Anyone know what the story is about this roadster?

If I could afford it, I'd get Jeff Norwell to do illustrations of what my car could look like, he's an awesome artist!

This sort of engineering drawing, plus sketch art, painted concept of the finished work and nose art is fan-damn-tastic!
Check out more art about all sorts of hot rods and dragsters at http://drawnandquarrtered.blogspot.com/ and his other website: http://www.jeffnorwell.com/

Flames painted in a way I haven't seen before... I love it!

"Ghost of Dragstrip Hollow" ( i just get a kick out of that title )

Cool hot rods at Goodguys

I dig the out of proportion engine

Beautiful air filter chrome caps... just nails that show and shine idea
Nice steering wheel and presentation of the seat belts

I'm smailing over all the cool stuff on this above rod, the hub cap over the air filter housing, the horns in front of the radiator, and the dead end sign on the roof. Wow, way cool!

This 1932 Ford coupe was bought in 1951 and parked in this garage in 1959. The owner, now 77 years old (so he was born exactly in 1932, looks at coincidence) gave up trying to restore the car one day and decided - thankfully - sell it. That was the first person to come in this garage since 1959, exactly 50 years later.
Check out Nik's blog for the whole story, and lots of other cool car stuff! http://carrosantigos.wordpress.com/2009/03/15/mais-um-deuce-coupe-50-anos-depois/
