Miramar's Hot Rod Magazine sponsored car show

Mike's.
Mike has been the manager of the hobby shop on the base at Miramar since before I was stationed there in '95. He taught me a lot, helped me a bunch, and of the 6 Navy base hobby shops I've used, has the best run one. Thanks Mike!

This is the nicest Impala I've seen in a long while

My '69 Coronet R/T

The convertible '70 GTX that Plymouth should have made

The cool Torino that showed up just before I left the show, but wasn't in the show... goes to prove what I say to myself every car show, cool stuff is in the parking lot at every car show.

Military bases have such cool backdrop static displays, and this is one of the largest.

The only used once, Boss 429 Bardahl Torino, prepped by Holman Moody Stroppe

Also an odd historical note, the 69 full race Torino Talladaga's had Boss 429 engines, but none of the publicly available Torino Talladaga's came with a Boss 429, they were instead fitted with thte 428 CJ, not as powerful... sad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Torino_Talladega

Charger Steve's Wild Rides first car show in Pacific Beach was a huge success! The west end of Garnet was packed

This is the most awesome... check out the video of it rumbling after this link: http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2009/04/my-favorite-metro.html

Looks almost real, but it isn't. Great mock up though, I believe this has a VW bug engine in the back, becuase the shifter is an EMPI

The blue thing on the hood? It's a very early type of bug deflector that works by pushing the wind and bugs to the sides of the car.
