Is there any type of model that the folks from California-based NCE won't whack the roof off? The answer to that question is probably no. If it's got four wheels and a fixed roof, the California-based company won't have any problem transforming it into a convertible. After the Dodge Challenger, Toyota Prius, Cadillac CTS, NCE has now chopped the roof off a Mercedes-Benz CL-Class AMG coupe. No word if it's the $150k CL63 AMG or the $200k+ CL65 AMG, but either way, the owner of the car must have a lot of 'ping-pongs' (and way too much play money) to dare such a conversion.

New AMG Sports Package for Mercedes S-Class Facelift and CL-Class Coupe
The perforated brake discs and silver-painted brake callipers along with the 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a five-spoke design shod with 255/40 (front) and 275/40 (rear) tires round off the exterior changes. For those that want more, AMG also offers 20-inch alloys in a twin-spoke design as an option. Inside, wood trim and the wood/leather steering wheel in black ash plus velour floor mats with AMG lettering and sports pedals in brushed stainless steel with rubber studs complete the package. The AMG Sports package will be available for order from this June for all S-Class models with a short or long wheelbase, as well as for the CL 500 and CL 500 4MATIC. Depending on the model, the price for the packages ranges between €5,831 and €7973 (including 19% VAT). source: http://carscoop.blogspot.comFor the first time, Mercedes-Benz is offering an AMG Sports Package for its top-of-the-line models, the just facelifted S-Class sedan and the CL-Class Coupe. The German automaker's new optional package includes various sporty and dynamic features as well as additional equipment, some of which are not available individually. And no, there aren't any changes under the hood of either model.
Visually, both the S-Class sedan and CL-Class coupe are enhanced with an AMG designed bodykit that includes a front apron with large air intakes, side sill panels and a rear apron with a black insert and integrated, rectangular tailpipe trim in polished stainless steel.
ASMA Attack: Mercedes CL65 AMG Based Phantasma CL Chrome
Performance-wise, the Phantasma CL Chrome's AMG 6.0-liter turbocharged V12 engine has been upgraded to deliver an output of 725HP and a maximum torque of 1,180Nm or 870lbs/ft. This results to a zero to 100km/h or 62mph sprint time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 205mph or 330km/h. source: http://carscoop.blogspot.comJust when you thought it was safe again to take a peak into the world of ASMA Design, the German tuning house goes and presents this burlesque creation, the Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG-based, Phantasma CL Chrome. We're not entirely sure if the car's name is derived from the Greek word Phantasma that translates to ghost, but there's no doubt in our mind that most will act like they've seen one after looking at this monstrous creation.
As if the vent-astic 'Darth Vader' grille, the various aerodynamic add-ons of the wide-bodykit and the humongous 22-inch wheels shod in 255/30 tires up front and 295/25 at the rear weren't scary enough, ASMA Design took the liberty to paint the car a shiny chrome finish.
