At its Shanghai Auto Show press conference today, Jaguar revealed the first teaser shots along with a brief video and initial details on its all-new XJ luxury sedan ahead of the car's official debut that is planned for July 9, 2009. The British firm said that the its new Mercedes-Benz S-Class rival will be offered with a choice of standard- or long wheelbase models that can be equipped with all of Jaguar's new Gen III petrol and diesel engines, including the 3.0-liter V6 diesel with 240 and 275HP and the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that produces 510HP. Speaking at Auto Shanghai 2009, Jaguar Cars Managing Director, Mike O'Driscoll confirmed that the all-new XJ will be the first car to feature the next-generation of the British automaker's aerospace-inspired, aluminum body architecture that should help reduce the car's weight. O'Driscoll also claimed that the 2010 XJ "will introduce the highest standards of personal luxury and specification, including a panoramic glass roof." Depending on market, the British firm's flagship sedan model will be in Jaguar dealerships from the end of this year. source: http://carscoop.blogspot.com
